  4. It's 1/4 tsp of xanthan gum if using GF flour.
  5. Prepare 2 tsp of baking powder.
  6. You need 1/2 tsp of bicarb / baking soda.
  7. Prepare 112 g of gold foil-wrapped Stork margarine (vegan butter), cubed.
  8. You need 4 tbsp of golden syrup / honey.
  9. It's of cinnamon topping.
  10. You need 1 tbsp of soft brown sugar.
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon.
  12. You need of glaze.
  13. Prepare 100 g of icing sugar / powdered sugar.
  14. You need 4 tbsp of coconut milk.
  15. You need 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.

It's easy to make and may be even better than the originals! These cinnamon scones are relatively easy. These cinnamon scones are a cross between an iced cinnamon roll and a buttery brown sugar scone. I made these a few days ago but with Namaste GF flour as I have celiac disease.

  1. Stir the lemon juice and coconut milk together and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to gas 6 / 200C / 400F and ready a baking sheet.
  3. Mix the flour, xanthan gum if using, baking powder and bicarb together.
  4. Cut in the cubed butter with a pastry knife or a fork until the mixture looks like crumbs.
  5. Mix the milk and syrup in and form a dough.
  6. Lay a square of parchment paper out and pat your dough down into a 1/2 inch thick round.
  7. Cut into 8 triangles.
  8. Mix the brown sugar with the cinnamon.
  9. Glaze the dough with some coconut milk and sprinkle with the brown sugar cinnamon mixture.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes.
  11. Let cool a little on the tray before separating out the triangles then bake a further 8 - 10 minutes or until set.
  12. Mix the icing sugar, milk and vanilla together, adding enough milk to make a thick glaze.
  13. Drizzle over the scones before serving.
  14. Delicious!.
