  1. Prepare 1 cup of boiled black chickpeas.
  2. You need 1 cup of long grain rice soaked for 1 hr.
  3. You need 1 cup of mushrooms halfed.
  4. It's 1 of onion chopped.
  5. It's 3 of garlic cloves finely chopped.
  6. You need 2 of bay leaves.
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp of oil.

  1. In a deep bottom pan, add oil and ghee, once ghee has melted add bay leaves, garlic saute for a few seconds then add onion and cook until translucent, add gram masala, now add mushrooms and stir fry lightly for a minute or two.
  2. Now add chickpeas and saute.
  3. Add rice, lightly mix, add stock season with salt and pepper, cover and let it come to a boil, turn heat on low and continue cooking for 10 minutes, until stock is completely absorbed.
  4. Fluff with a fork, let it rest for 10 minutes minutes garnish with parsley and serve with yoghurt or sides of your choice.
